Dear Mayor:
Years back the common council installed a Welcome to White Plains sign on the bridge that carries Metro North over Main Street. It also created a very inviting theme into White Plains with the add on of the night time spot lights that were added to illuminate the welcome sign.
The question I do have to ask is, why have these lights been dark for YEARS? White Plains is bending over backwards and doing all it can to make people want to come to white plains, lets not forget our past efforts.
Please contact the highway authority and have them turn these night time lights back on, so whether your coming into White Plains during the day or night, we are always welcoming everyone with open arms.
On a side note, I must thank you and the council for all the new growth you have permitted in White Plains and look forward to the two new skyscrapers on 221 Main Street....!!!
