August 13, 2004: The New York-New Jersey Juggernaut arrived in Sacramento, California Wednesday for a three game set with the California Sunbirds, and went out and beat the Birds, 4-0 before 260 fans in Stockton Thursday night. Righthander Kaci Clark, ignored as a key starter in the crucial set against Texas, threw a 2-hit shutout fanning 10 to move the Juggernaut to a 33-21 record still 3-1/2 games behind Akron for second place. Kaci's record is now 9-6. Akron and Texas both won. Kellie Wilkerson's 2-run homer in the 4th snapped a scoreless tie as the Sunbirds' Voak took the loss.
